With the economy the way it is it seems a good time for employers to take advantage of employees. People are afraid of getting laid off and management knows how to use that! What management should be afraid of is the GOOD help seeking greener pastures. We all need to remember that the jobs belong to the company, not the worker. Jobs are seldom lost, like money, they just change hands and never seem to belong to the working class. The bosses seem to think it is a good time to tighten the screws! I see it as a good time to warm up my resume'!

History in the making...
I don't consider myself to be prejudicial, and my ancesters were still in Europe when the Civil War was happening. I know the "minorities" have a right to be proud that we finally elected someone other than a "white, good ol' boy" to the highest office in the land. But give me a break!
Let's look at what really happened in history. If it wasn't for a bunch of Northern White Guys, the African Americans might still be slaves. The underground railroad was run by whites. And most whites came to the US - AFTER the civil war. So why do ALL whites get included on the wrong side of the racial issue? Do you think Obama was elected without any white folks votes?
The fact that a "minority" president will soon take office does not bother me in the least. But was anyone paying attention to what he was saying? Does anyone care that he HATES our Flag, our Anthem, and the Pledge of Alliegence? Does anyone understand that the CHANGE he wants to make might not be in the best interest of our Democracy?
The United States was founded on Christian Values. No other religion would have made her existance even possible much less a reality. Haven't we learned anything from history? Ours and other countries!!!
Was the fact that he is black a good enough reason to elect him? Why not someone else? I'm ashamed that the candidates in this election were the best that our nation could offer!!!
I've been around for a while, and seen good and bad come and go. This is the first election in history that has me scared. I mean really scared. I'd have been much happier if a woman had been elected. At least if something happened to her we wouldn't be looking at another civil war. Looking at history, riots in particular, and the reaction of the crowds on election day, can you imagine what a difference a presidential assassination would be now compared to any we have previously witnessed? I don't think our country could withstand the implications.
While I'm on the soap box - Gay Rights! Here again - shame on these United States! I believe that every human has rights. I'm just more than a little tired of having everyone elses rights shoved down my throat. What happened to my rights? Because I'm a hard working, tax paying, home owning (for a little while yet), too busy to be running around screaming my head off, white guy - don't I have any rights? Why if I act like others am I not politically correct if they are?
I'm sick and tired of having to set an example that no one else has to follow!!!

Not so ancient History
Why do we, as a "Christian" nation, celebrate Halloween (all hallows eve) and ignore all saints day? We also allow some minorities to dictate that we take our beliefs out of OUR schools, but let everyone else celebrate their ideas there. If WE don't take our country back, someone else WILL!
It is time to bring back the history books from the 50's and 60's, before they were "updated" with lies! Let's bring back democracy, patriotism (the real thing), and common sense!!! We need to realize that not everyone who says they have our best interest in mind are telling the truth. The majority of people today only have their best interest in mind. That means for them to be telling the truth, we need to be clones of them. That's not the way America became a Great Nation.
THINK for yourselves, and not what someone else tells you! Stand for something before you fall for anything. Liberal does not mean liberty, and Conservative does not mean conservation of our freedoms!

Death and Taxes
Back in 1776 when this country was formed, 90% of the population worked for themselves. This meant that they either had to be ambitious or starve. This is how we built the greatest nation on the planet. Today over 90% of the population works in someone else's employ. This means that all we have to do is whatever it takes NOT to get fired, and we can collect our paychecks at the end of the week. And if we do manage to get canned, there is always unemployment until we can get another slough job. And remember, your previous employer can not say anything bad about you to a prospective employer without fear of litigation.
Today the government pretty much covers our asses for us from anything we could possibly do to deserve what we should get. Yet nobody is happy with our government. Too much interference! Well look where our country is headed. People miffed because jobs are going overseas. Companies hiring new people for more than they are paying veteran employees, and expecting the lesser paid experienced people to train in the new guys for them.
And why are people so dissatisfied with our country? We can eat when we want. We can sleep indoors, with heat and air conditioning and a cold pop right in the kitchen. Our cars and homes are more expensive because WE demand more options. The price of gas goes up because WE want to keep driving - NO MATTER WHAT!!! WE give the power over us to foreign countries. WE are so idealistic that when terror strikes our shores we worry about profiling, and then scream at a government that WE won’t give controls to.
GIVE ME A BREAK!! The next time I hear anyone say anything negative about the USA - I’m going to tell them to move to Pakistan, find Osama and volunteer for target practice!!!

Taxes and Education
Do we really need to build big fancy over-designed school buildings? What a waste of tax dollars. Some study suggests that our kids learn better in the new schools. Bah! I went to some pretty run down old schools and some fancy new ones. I tell you what, me and the other kids couldn't care less if the walls were round, blue or salmon, brick, tile, or cheese cloth. I wouldn't have cared if they were just a bunch of crayon scratches. The reason the students learn more in the newer buildings is because the teachers are happy. New buildings mean new toys for them. So lets cut the crap, repaint the old buildings, and buy lots of new toys to keep the teachers happy, and get on with the job of education! Instead of trying to impress the other schools.

New Log In
Cut Down and Chopped to Size.
So I've had this thing about a week and they have already changed the way I had to log into it. I had to jump to 3 different sites to "reclaim" my blog! No wonder I've stayed away from these things!! The internet just keeps finding ways to waste my time!!! I have been working on a project on line that I wanted up and running by the end of the month - HA. I can't upload the proper files, after which it would take a week for them to look those over and approve them, then I'd have to order a copy of the finished product to see if they did it right. If no changes need to be done it Might Be available in 2 to 4 weeks. Just another waste of time.
