Death and Taxes

Back in 1776 when this country was formed, 90% of the population worked for themselves. This meant that they either had to be ambitious or starve. This is how we built the greatest nation on the planet. Today over 90% of the population works in someone else's employ. This means that all we have to do is whatever it takes NOT to get fired, and we can collect our paychecks at the end of the week. And if we do manage to get canned, there is always unemployment until we can get another slough job. And remember, your previous employer can not say anything bad about you to a prospective employer without fear of litigation.
Today the government pretty much covers our asses for us from anything we could possibly do to deserve what we should get. Yet nobody is happy with our government. Too much interference! Well look where our country is headed. People miffed because jobs are going overseas. Companies hiring new people for more than they are paying veteran employees, and expecting the lesser paid experienced people to train in the new guys for them.
And why are people so dissatisfied with our country? We can eat when we want. We can sleep indoors, with heat and air conditioning and a cold pop right in the kitchen. Our cars and homes are more expensive because WE demand more options. The price of gas goes up because WE want to keep driving - NO MATTER WHAT!!! WE give the power over us to foreign countries. WE are so idealistic that when terror strikes our shores we worry about profiling, and then scream at a government that WE won’t give controls to.
GIVE ME A BREAK!! The next time I hear anyone say anything negative about the USA - I’m going to tell them to move to Pakistan, find Osama and volunteer for target practice!!!
